The Glimmer, the glittering.

Hannibal used three different shields (Gold, Silver and Coppery bronze) to
signal between lookouts and various troop types.
When the Romans got trashed all the way from Spain to Southern France
their leaders were puzzeled about the fact that Hannibal always knew where
they were and which troop type they employed long before they made contact
with Phoenician troops.

One escaped prisoner is supposed to have explained it to them and said,
'in the glimmer lies the truth', hence in aurorum veritas.

For the record, the motto of our Holding is 'Per Aurum Gratia'.

Cheers,
Robert.
