Dear Ben,

Anyway, it was in the news because a couple of
them were denied bail here in Victoria for the
offense of 'stalking' magistrates and police
and 'trespassing' by serving (their own) legal
documents on them. I have no idea of the merits
of the case but it does seem pretty outrageous
on it's face.

I'm a bit curious about this view. What seems pretty outrageous?

An individual bearing arms and wearing a certain type of
clothing goes onto private property and forcibly serves
papers to another individual. Such an armed individual
may also be used to seize the private party, or his
property.

If it is outrageous for individuals who are not part of
government to do these things, then what is it about
being in the government that makes it okay? Magic?

Sprinkling of magic powder? Oil of Aphrodite and the
dust from the grand Wazoo?
