It's been a few months since I first mentioned FreeTraders.org and I thought that I would put out an update on them.
The need for private trade opportunities facilitated with backed currencies has been one of the biggest obstacles to the gold economy's growth in it's short life. Even now, after years of work there are simply not that many merchants online who accept alternative forms of payment such as digital gold currencies and other options like ALTA and EvoCash. IOOF's http://www.freetraders.org is a private barter exchange that caters to those who seek privacy in commerce. Barter exchanges function similarly to auction services such as E-Bay; however, there are intrinsic differences. Rather than a high-bid auction, for instance, transactions are simply negotiated between buyers and sellers until some distribution of currency, credit and trade is accepted by both parties and then the "deal is done." Over the last few months I have been offering bullion and gem products at FreeTraders.org and found no shortage of buyers. The group does need more sellers (i.e. a greater variety of offers) which is a shortcoming at this point, but it is still steadily growing and one recent new member -- Gold-Stores.net -- has added a tremendous level of value to FreeTraders membership, by giving members access to anything for sale via Amazon.com, payable in FT's Trade Credits. There is also an independent exchange service functioning inside FT.org that offers a debit card, and exchanges between various e-currencies and the Trade Credit, as well as a NORFED Liberty Associate who exchanges ALD for Trade Redits and vice versa, making FreeTraders.org's barter currency comparitively more liquid than those of much better-established barter exchanges. Membership costs just over $ 100.00 (it's actually priced as 1/3 of an ounce of gold and will fluctuate based on spot) -- not inexpensive to be sure, but there are no ongoing fees and no transaction fees, which make it a cheaper alternative than E-Bay, GoldBarter and other competing services. There are still many categories and types of merchants not represented in the FreeTraders.org group, and as such a great opportunity to expose your product or service to a growing number of privacy-minded potential customers with little competition. I hope that you'll take a moment to check it out at http://www.freetraders.org , and should you choose to join please use me as your referrer: fm1234 .
