Following the logic behind gold-backed proof, I have to ask: how do we know the Earth is round?
Has any of you been to space, around the Earth? Pictures you say?! Faked! Objects show more of their base part when closing to the viewer?! Optical illusion! Does anybody have concrete proof that the Earth is round? I say everything is faked. It's a conspiracy! So, there is no concrete evidence about anything, but one can decide what the truth is, based on the data available. For E-gold, I look at their site and decide they are good enough to trust (because of): transparency, explanations, addresses, quality of system, etc. They are also around for many years... but darn, I have no proof for that either.
