By "WIWO" I just meant "walk in, walk out". This term is used in business to signify a business that is -- well, "walk in, walk out"
For instance, a newsstand where someone sells newspapers and magazines is a "WIWO" type of business. The thing sold is a commodity and there is little or no choice involved in the person using it. If you are selling milk, newspapers, coca cola in vending machines or the like that is a "walk in walk out" business.
In contrast say you are selling, let's say, you know "hi fi"s, or indeed "cars". Those are very much NOT a wiwo business -- idiot customers get all interested in the product, what type of product it is, how it works, comparison of different brands etc - they may shop for weeks trying to decided what to buy etc.
So a "WIWO" business is a real utility, commodity business selling an extremely simple thing or commodity that people buyh all the time with little or no investigation into the product -- milk, newspapers, bread, and the like.
In short it is any sort of utility or commodity type of business.
Immature businessmen think business is about "ideas" and being "clever;" experienced rich businessmen have wet dreams about WIWO businesses.
I hope that explains this term !!
Also "SAV" means "stock at value" :)
Dear JP: Please forgive, but, what does "WIWO" stand for?
Thanks. Sincerely, Bill Bochynski
The best investment are always in the most conservative possible field like "selling milk" or the like, not some whacky idea -- on the internet, the most conservative possible "WIWO" field is OCs. (And that's exactly why the hoi polloi can never invest in any serious successful OCs.)
