Of course, any cracker could try a single password for all accounts, but I don't think anyone with a lot of egold in his account has a simple password, so this method is just as useless. This is such a waste of brain power... oops, I meant computer power! Try making money legally at OANDA! But even that requires more brain power than computer power... Ian, I think that having a public and a private account number is not useful for your example with someone continually trying to access my account, because both the attacker and clients would use the same public access method (the public account number). But this system would increase the protection of the accounts, since to withdraw money, the private account number is required.
