Well, Frank, I agree utterly with everything you've said here.
You can peek at my subject header. "some interesting discussions" which was the thrust of my message here. There *are* some interesting discussions going on at the LibertyForum.org site, but they are not going on in all rooms nor with all participants.
One of the attributes of unmoderated, anyone can post discussion lists is that many of them become funky with all kinds of juvenile postings. However, as you point out, there are some gems. And, sometimes people of a certain quality are invited to unmoderated discussions where not just anyone is invited.
whose momma is French over there,
Is Mottley a French name? Or Acadian?
I just don't think that it's right for America to fight the War on Brown Heathens with Oil, er "Terrorism" in the particular manner in which we currently are doing so
I don't think it best practice to fight wars. As Randolph Bourne noted, war is the health of the state. It is bad for commerce, bad for property, bad for liberty, bad for individuals. War is the very height of not minding one's business.
At the same time that some of the deployed military seems to be engaged in fighting swarthy complected people of other religious preferences who have oil, I think the war on Terrorism is just another rehash of the same old war on freedom. It used to be called the war on drugs.
an idiot, a traitor, or an homosexual.
Only British homosexuals think the letter "h" is a vowel, Frank. <grin>

So much flour, so little time to bake bread.
