What You Need To Know About Today
>From Matt Law, your Editor and Guide

--------------------------- EDITOR'S NOTE ----------------------------

After last night's 5-2 victory over the Houston Astros, the St. Louis
Cardinals will meet the Boston Red Sox in the 2004 World Series. Really,
it's a good thing Houston didn't win. I'm not sure I would be able to handle
all of the comparisons by the political pundits to the presidential race.
"Texas and Massachusetts are at war on the field and in the voting booth." I
could see it. Now as for making a prediction, I'm going to go with the
Cardinals in six games. Think about it. The regal seedeater would easily be
able to grab a stinky pair of red socks in its beak and fly away. It's no
contest.

Throw a World Series Party
-Entertaining Guide Donna Pilato
If you host it, they will come. Entertaining Guide Donna Pilato shares some
expert advice on throwing a memorable World Series party. Of course, no
baseball bash would be complete without peanuts, cracker jacks and a
stirring rendition of "Take me Out to the Ballgame" during the seventh
inning stretch.

The Best Scary Clown Movies
-Horror Movies Guide Ryan Kelley
I haven't been officially diagnosed, but I may have a crippling case of
coulrophobia. What's that? Why, it's the fear of clowns, of course. Sure,
they're supposed to be all happy and fun, but they usually end up being
scary and freaky. Horror Movies Guide Ryan Kelley knows of what I speak and
recommends 10 clown movies that'll keep me up at night.

States Swinging Left and Right
-U.S. Gov Info / Resources Guide Robert Longley
With numerous polls saying that the presidential election is in a dead heat,
some experts who are smarter than I am are saying there's a chance that
President Bush could win the popular election, yet still lose the Electoral
College. Gee, that sounds sort of familiar. You have to wonder if the people
running around saying that Bush was "selected, not elected" would say the
same under a President Kerry. Either way, U.S. Gov Info / Resources Guide
Robert Longley explains how the Electoral College works and shares the
arguments for and against it.
