Dear Rajesh,

Sorry for your problem.

First some precisations:

1) Webots is using as well the bootloader in the e-puck when downloading a
program. Just it start in a different way sending first a reset command.

With tinybootloader on PC side, it need the robot to be reset when starting
the communication. To get the perfect timing might be difficult if the
program on e-puck is sending a lot of messages from the beginning on. The
solution is to push the reset button several times quite fast (~1 interval).

2) the file you choose to be used as bootloader is the correct one, but is
supposed to be downloaded with ICD2.

Not sure what is your current memory status.

I see no other solution to borrow an ICD2 or send it back to your dealer.

Good luck,

Gilles

Subject: [E-puck-user] regarding the reinstallation of the bootloader
forwindows without ICD2

hi,

I am rajesh Medampudi. I have recently started working on the e-puck. At the
start I could not download the program by using the tiny bootloader, so i
used the webots software to download my hex file to my e-puck. But
determined to make my tiny bootloader work, i kind of downloaded a wrong hex
file that i could get in one of the library folder. file name
"tinybld_ds6014A_7.37Mhz_115200uart1_8xPLL_with_LEDs.hex" through the webots
software. The software took a lot of time to download it and then suddenly
it got stuck, so i had to reload the webots software, but from there on i am
not able to load any hex file through the webots or the tiny bootloader
programs into my e-puck. The saddest part is that i donot even have a
microchip ICD2 debugger inorder to reprogram the IC.

After a lot of searching the net i got this site and could find a similar
problem but the solution did not work in my case.

Can any one help me out with this??

Thanking you

Rajesh.
