Check your kernel configuration - CONFIG_PCI_MSI should be enabled. The driver defaults to MSI.

With FC9 installed, the card is now using IO-APIC-fasteoi IRQs, which is not the best as one port is sharing with a SAS controller. Modinfo on e1000e shows no parameter I can use to enable MSI - am I out of luck or is there a good reason MSI is disabled?
