Why performance gain would be "very small" ? My opinion was that 2 or more RX queues enables multlithreaded softirq processing? i.e ksoftirq/0 ... ksoftirq/X Thus, the processing load can be distributed between CPUs in multiprocessor architecture. Am I right ? And then, what gain will be with multiqueue igb driver on 82575 chip ?
