Hi All,

I'm using "IntelĀ® 82576 Gigabit Ethernet card" which uses igb driver. I just
want to know why we are not able to physically shutdown the interface using
the "ifconfig" command? The driver doesn't support it? or the card doesn't
support this feature?

I was looking in the driver code and the functions "e1000_power_down_phy" is
commented out in igb version of the driver. which means????

NOTE: "Wake-on: d" no issue of wake-on.
