In order to build new drivers for a fedora kernel, you need to have
the matching kernel-devel package installed. You shouldn't need to
rebuild the entire kernel.
As root run "yum install kernel-devel", which will install the needed
header files to build new drivers that match your kernel configuration.
Once that package is installed, the makefile included with the e1000e
source should work fine.
