In addition to the previous entries to this thread which involves a Tyan 5400 based board, I also have a Supermicro X7DWE 5400 based board - latest BIOS, which is exhibiting exactly the same symptoms: ioatdma works on 2.6.27.19-78.2.30.fc9.x86_64 but if loaded using 2.6.35.7, results in crippled network RX performance when using samba.
