Brandon,

If the driver is loaded in the system then you already have the right driver.  
You can check this using the command 'lsmod' to see if the driver is loaded.  
If it is then you are having some other problem.  Please look in 
/var/log/messages to see if there are any error messages being put out by the 
system.

When you say "can't get connected" what exactly do you mean?  What is the 
output from the following commands:
lspci -vv
ifconfig
ethtool -i <ethx> (Where ethx is the interface number you are working with in 
your system.)
ethtool <ethx>
