Hello all,
I recently bought an Intel 82576 NIC and installed igb 2.4.14 driver. I need
to set it up to work in multiqueue mode and assign interrupts of each queue
to one of the 8 cores.
At the first installation, it went well and I could see all 8 rx/tx queue
pairs. But when I used rmmod and modprobe to change an option, there was
only one queue pair after reloading the module with modprobe !
When I tried to reload it with IntMode=3 option, I saw this in the dmesg
output:
igb_validate_option: Invalid Interrupt Mode value specified (3) defaulting
to 2 (MSI-X)
While I think IntMode=3 should be valid for MSI-X with multiple queue
enabled.
After rebooting the system, I could see all 8 queues again. But I don`t know
what causes the multiqueue mode not to be enabled even after reboot since
yesterday !!!
I was wondering if anyone can see a mistake on what I did? And in general,
is there any way to enable multiple queue option?
Thanks a lot,
Regards,
RSH
