Thanks for message log.
I haven't concluded on any strong reason yet for the hangs from e1000_dump.
While I continue analyzing the dump , can you try setting pci=nommconf and boot 
the kernel to see of it makes any difference.
 
Also this could be an issue with 64bit system only if you have 32 bit kernel 
live cd it's worth trying it.
