Hi Charles,
 
The IXGBE_DEVICE_CAPS_ALLOW_ANY_SFP isn't a parameter but a bit the driver 
looks at in the eeprom to see if any SFP support is enabled.  It looks like for 
your case it isn't which is why you are getting the "SFP+ module not supported" 
message.  Intel only validates against a known set of modules and is why not 
all are supported.
