Hello, I just made a simple copy like:
cp /one/nfs/share/7G.iso /other/nfs/share with a : >lspci >00:19.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Device 1502 (rev 04) after some seconds (<1min) the machine where I do cp freeze: - no ping - no keyboard - reboot needed I then took a additional card: >lspci >01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82574L Gigabit Network After less than a minute: -same result -complete freeze -no log Then I applied: http://sourceforge.net/projects/e1000/files/e1000e%20stable/eeprom_fix_82574_or_82583/ After that the addon card is stable. I copied my 7G iso around 12 times, before that it did not run once completley. Thus I would like to know, if I need a similiar fix for my onboard nic, like for the addon nic 82574L: # onboard 8086:1502 # ethtool -e eth0 Offset Values ------ ------ 0x0000 00 19 99 a2 de 98 00 08 ff ff d4 00 ff ff ff ff 0x0010 ff ff ff ff c3 10 b7 11 34 17 02 15 00 00 00 00 The machine is a SuSE SLE 11-SP1, with a e1000e driver from sf.net, version 2.1.4. regards, Martin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Monitor your physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure from a single web console.
