Hello! My name is Luke and I'm developing a hypervisor-oriented Ethernet switch to run on Linux hosts with a custom kernel-bypass device driver for Intel ethernet controllers. I have chosen Intel hardware because on previous projects I have been extremely impressed with both the quality of the hardware and the documentation. I want to put it to the best use that I can with tight integration between application and NIC.
Question: Is it okay for me to ask for technical help on this mailing list? I'm currently looking into a technical problem: unexpectedly low values in the TPT (Total Packets Transmitted) and GPTC (Good Packets Transmitted Counter) statistics registers. It would be great to have a support channel for these kind of questions. Cheers, -Luke P.S.
