One of my top clients is a major global player in the Smart card industry. They
are in need of a Technical Consultant / Project Manager with 5-10 years
experience to be responsible for technical matters with Customers for our
client's Smart Card Payment Products within North America.
The focus will be on the EMV segment, and our client is extremely well
positioned to take advantage of this area of explosive growth potential.
This is a full time Permanent employment position with benefits. This position
must be based out of either our client's Philadelphia or Chicago (West
Suburban) offices. Relocation assistance is available.
The Technical Consultant / Project Manager will develop and maintain customer
relationships by understanding technical needs and identifying solutions within
our client's payment product lines. Responsibilities include:
· Creating and presenting technical presentations to customers.
· Understanding customer requirements and translating into technical
documentation for implementation. This includes defining card profiles,
managing corresponding approvals with the payment schemes (MasterCard, Visa,
etc.) and validating production configuration.
· Own the process of adding new features to the standard product or
designing a customized product to meet customer expectations until the product
is ready for mass production. .
· Establish secure connections, launch key ceremonies and have the
issuer keys signed by schemes' Certificate Authority, as well as assist in any
required root cause analysis and repair.
· Support Sales in responding to RFI/RFQ and other technical questions.
· Be the internal and external technical expert on products, standards
and relevant practices.
This position pays in the $85-$110k range depending on experience.
Candidates will have a software or firmware programming or development
background with a BS degree in Computer Science or similar. They will be very
knowledgeable about Smart Cards or SIM cards and ideally, the Banking/Payments
sector. They will have a customer focus with experience doing pre or post sales
technical consulting , providing technical project management or application
support. They will have very good communication, presentation, and problem
solving skills.
