experienced Ruby on Rails software engineer/coder to be rapidly groomed and 
promoted to a CTO role or someone who can fill a CTO role immediately. They are 
a highly successful VC-funded startup in the Worcester, Massachusetts area

doubled market-share every year for the past three years.

team, and to lead the technology development of their small company poised for

•             Leading the technical development of web applications serving up 
map-based, data heavy information products

#2) Director/Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer (Hoboken, NJ and Brooklyn, NY)

the largest e-commerce companies in the Philadelphia area.

 The Director/Senior Ruby on Rails Developer will develop responsive and 
scalable websites and web applications using RoR and other open-source 
technologies. This person must have a strong knowledge of software architecture 
and design and extensive experience working with open-source projects. 

 Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Build websites and web applications using Ruby on Rails and other 
open-source platforms and technologies
•    Work independently while leveraging the contributions of others

find and book housing near their new school.

Currently, international students studying in the US do not have trusted 
resources that help them find quality housing or provide them with local 
information and networking opportunities. Schools lack adequate housing and 
current third party services are outdated, expensive, and offer limited choice.

My client offers a web and mobile platform that allows students to find housing 
from private renters or qualified homestay programs. Photos, profiles, reviews, 
and social features will help match students with hosts. A streamlined 
application process will expand choices and handle payments.

#4) Senior Front-End Developer (Maryland)                
My client is looking for a seasoned Rails UI developer with deep understanding 
of HTML, CSS, Javascript and other web technologies to deliver scalable 
cross-platform internet applications. It’s a unique opportunity to be on a team 
that tackles big challenges in UX/UI and video processing.

You will help them embrace best development practices for churning out quality 
code at a rapid pace. You will own the UI related initiatives on multiple 
projects and will have help from junior developers. You will be involved in the 
engineering planning and prioritization exercises and have the ability to make 
a direct impact on the product. You will work with business stakeholders, 
graphic designers, product management and QA to spearhead the development 
effort alongside the Lead Rails Developer and the CTO. In a nutshell, you’ll 
impact not just the development of the Company's technology, but also the 
company as a whole.

Skills & Requirements 


We are looking for a talented engineer with most, if not all, of the following 
skills:
•Has 6-10 years of experience in designing, developing and maintaining 
front-end for cross-browser and cross-platform Rails applications.
•Can quickly learn new technologies and has worked on complex UX & UI.
•Thrives in fast-paced environment by using agile methodologies.
•Enjoys mentoring junior developers on the team.
•Understand MVC pattern, TDD, BDD and are up to date with prototyping 
tools/languages.
•Is conversant with Rails, Ruby, CSS frameworks, cloud technologies (AWS, 
heroku etc.), *nix, PostgreSQL, UJS, Javascript frameworks such as JQuery, 
Third party Javascript plugins, AJAX, REST, Automated Unit Testing etc.
•Can estimate work for projects requiring collaboration between couple of 
developers and graphic designers through two-week sprints.
•Can get things done without supervision, and can help others meet deadlines.
•Is personable and a good team player.
•Appreciates a good story (and a good laugh).
•Can work out of Silver Spring, MD.
