I have a 6 port network appliance that has 6 X 82583V.
The issue is that all the ports randomly give out a Hardware Unit Hang message.
During the 8-10 second period, not packets get transferred.
Kernel: Stock 2.6.34
Driver: 2.0.0-NAPI
The kernel command line disabled PCIE ASPM via the pcie_aspm=off parameter.
I have also fixed the EEPROM issue of bad power management issue (Byte value
0x58 on offset 0x001e) using the fixeep-82574_83.sh script, rebooted but the
issue persists.
The error received is in dmesg is:
