And just to reply to myself, you may find a module that conforms to the spec 
but needs setup, and those may not work either.

We can't account for every SFP+ module available and that's why we have that 
check in the code so we can identify the modules we have tested.

And keep in mind that this doesn't allow everything that fits in that cage to 
work. The module still has to conform to the SFP+ spec.

Load the driver with allow_unsupported_sfp=1 and you should be good to go.
