Many thanks for your swift reply. It's very much appreciated.
I thought that was the case, but was unable to confirm it. I've just 
installed the latest version
ixgbe-3.19.1 on one of the systems.

However when I run on the old/new boxes it reports the same version:

swlb-cluster1 ~ # ethtool -i eth1

Do you think I've not installed it properly?

The box isn't a SPARC it's a Intel box a Dell PowerEdge 1950.
