Oh, and what's the conditions of the test? What's the traffic, what's the link 
partner, and what do the stats registers say on both ends?

Kernel is running some local patches, but nothing that should affect e1000e.

We are seeing this on multiple systems that previously ran fine on 3.9.11+ 
kernels, so probably it's a regression of some sort.
