Where did you get the RPM? I’m thinking the RPM has a corrupt pciids file.

Also, the latest driver is igb-5.2.15.

Everytime, i can reproduce this error on sles11sp3 os,
i have not found the "update-pciids" script in  '/usr/sbin'.

What version of igb, and what steps did you use?

You could probably work around this by running the "update-pciids" script if 
you have it (it's in /usr/sbin on my Fedora 21 box).

If you can reproduce this, I'll submit this as a bug.
