Hello, We’re trying to get the XL710 working with the Linux bonding driver, but the driver simply refuses to enslave the 10G interfaces:
# ifenslave bond1 p1p1 Master ‘bond1', Slave 'p1p1': Error: Enslave failed strace on this shows: ioctl(3, SIOCBONDENSLAVE, 0x7ffd6c35c560) = -1 EINVAL (Invalid argument) Furthermore, if moving from our distro (RHEL6) driver (1.2.9-k) to anything from the i40e stable, this causes a kernel panic on bringing up the bonded interface. The driver notes say that bonding is supported, so it’s not clear why this is failing. Can anyone confirm if this is actually supported?
