The i40e driver currently hard codes the number of queues per VF as 4:
src/i40e.h:
#define I40E_DEFAULT_QUEUES_PER_VF 4
The i40e hardware (fortville) supports > 4 queues per VF (manual says 16).
Would it be possible to have the driver support a module load parameter to
set the queues per VF at load time?
I have made this change locally with success but I would eventually like
this change to be available to distros to avoid having to recompile the
kernel module.
