It appears the checksum is only bad on one of the two ports, which sounds like
there's something wrong with your system.

Please contact your system vendor for support on this.

Subject: [E1000-devel] EEPROM Checksum Is Not Valid for X552

Hi,
I have a server with Intel Xeon D-1548, which has two builtin 10GE port:
[hj@host src]$ lspci|grep Ether
04:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection X552 10 GbE
SFP+
04:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection X552 10 GbE
SFP+

I downloaded, built, installed and loaded ixgbe driver 4.6.4, however the
driver gives following error (dmesg):
[ 3.681857] ixgbe: loading out-of-tree module taints kernel.

Do you know how to solve this issue?

I am running Centos 7.2.1511 with Centos provided kernel:
Linux host 3.10.0-514.6.1.el7.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Jan 18 13:06:36 UTC 2017
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
