Are you sure you're running NVMUpdate v5.05? When I
download a fresh copy from the Intel Download Center

It says the NVMUpdate version is 1.28.19.4 (see output
below). You posted 1.25.20.12.
My test case was a fairly minor update, because I had
to really double-check syslog messages to see the change.
The only change in the firmware message was the "0.0.0"
at the end of the line became "1.1568.0".
