thanks. I think there is still something missing. If I try to use the
update site Eclipse 4.2 tells me that it is not an update site.
I tried your link (which had a typo "upates") and a corrected link ("updates").

http://download.eclipse.org/e4/upates/4.2
For both Eclipse 4.2 told me that this is not an update site.
Can you please check?
