Hi,

We already have the implementation of the event spy in the E4. See the bug 
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=414853. It is the initial 
version and I'm going to adjust it according to the requirements I've got 
(bugs 416231 , 416220 and 416252).

If you are interested in an event spy you could use my implementation:

Of course I could contribute it to e4 tools if there is interest for it. 
But as Lars wrote in a comment to my blog entry there should already 
exist such a tool in e4...
