My system is Gentoo (current) with 2.6.9 kernel, ppp-2.4.3,
eagle-usb-2.0.0 and dhcp client 1.3.2. I have Sagem 800 usb modem.

I have this stuff for long time (about month) and have lost any concept.
I've reemerged ppp, dhcp and eagle-usb. but it didnt help.
I have also noticed that it happens with the regularity of IP changes
from my isp. Before that 'error' my ip changed 3-4 times a day, and this
stuff happens... 3-4 times a day. The worst thing is that between those
'errors' all works fine! And then... bum, no connection and problems
with raising it up. Reboot usually helps. And I dont have anything
'exotinc' hele - just IPv4, iptables and shorewall.
ANY help would be appreciated.
