This bug is due to the ifrename script (called by net.agent) Seems to be a big hack to change interfaces name before there are up. This may lead to some redundancy between /etc/modprobe.conf (using module name) and /etc/iftab (using mac address) Some infos: "man iftab" I don't know why I never seen this script before. Is it new in mdk10.1? 3 solutions for eagleconfig to change interface name : 1) remove the line containing modem mac address in /etc/iftab and let modprobe.conf choose modem interface name 2) put "eagle_usb mac mac_address" (for example) in /etc/iftab and don't add anything in modprobe.conf 3) write name "eagle_usb" in both /etc/iftab and modprobe.conf 1) and 3) sould be the best. For the moment, I don't know when /etc/iftab is updated. I'll check this tomorrow... ______ Tux
