It looks at the USb device descriptor. If bit 8 is set, then it's an
ISDN one, otherwise a POTS one. Excerpt from eaglectrl.c :


                (*type) = ( (usb_desc.bcdDevice & 0x80 ) == 0x80 ?
                            MODEM_ISDN : MODEM_POTS );

I think you can access this bcdDevice using lsusb (can test as it's not
installed on my laptop, and I'm going to go to bed .. )
