No, the name of the modem interface is necessary to finish the configuration.
The only way to get it is to read the value returned by eaglestat, as soon as 
the modem is operationnal.
When the interface name is set to manual, eagleconfig displays "Load DSP 
[Error]" for example but finish the configuration properly and remove the 
lock. So no problem here.

We can only change that if the modem could return it's interface earlier (is 
it possible???)
