Is this the System CLASSPATH, or the "Classpath" set in the Project Properties | Paths | Classpath tab? As I said in my original report, the project consisted of one (reasonably-small) jar file in the Classpath tab (along with < JDK > and < Output Path >). Since I had only one source file, I imagine that < Output Path > was nearly empty.
I'm no longer able to say wat was on my System CLASSPATH env. variable, however, if that is what causes the problem. I can try to pare mine down and see if I ever experience the problem again.
