But it does seem odd that you have to place the cursor _before_ the closing thing. I often put the cursor _after_ the closing thing to see where the blue line leads. Now, it I want to go to the opening thing, I have to first move the cursor to the beginning of the closing thing, then press CTRL-[. Well, if the closing thing is an html tag, that could be, good heavens, several key strokes! This is a bit of a nit, but I think CTRL-[ and CTRL-] should work the same as the blue line.
