I agree that would help.  Since I switch back and forth between VS and Idea
a lot, I use F10 is because I'm using the Visual Studio keymap.

I think the cause may be if you hit the Step Over key while it is between
single steps (i.e the program is running for a short instant), the focus
isn't in the code pane window for that short time period.
