When you start up IDEA, you should get two windows (unless you've modified
your .bat file to use javaw.exe and start). Exceptions and stacktraces are
output in the first IDEA window that opens up, which is the console window.

IDEA's logfile is in:
%IDEA_HOME%\log\idea.log

Where can one find these stack traces? I've looked in the log file in the
log

directory and I don't get any stack traces from the messages that I have

received. Is there another place I can look?
