I think they have done a lot of that. Creating all those "caches" while painful, is
generally
done to ensure that we don't have to re-hit the project directory more often then
necessary.
The real issue is that if you have no access to any local disk, and you want all of
the features
in intellij, and your network is slow, I think you are basically out of luck. I would
use vi.
