Is there any chance of getting rid of dos windows popping up when running ant with tasks that use external calls, the cvs integration or my own external tools? I'm starting my app server as an external tool for example and capture the console output in IDEA or have tails running on some log files capturing output to IDEA as well. A very nice feature of this is that you can click on stack traces to get to the code that failed. But there are always dos windows open when runnung the tools which I do not need (since they are empty). The same applies to some ant tasks or the CVS integration.
