What about having echo tasks shown as warnings only if they start with 
'Warning:' or some such string ?

Even better, perhaps, if echo warnings (and real compiler warnings) 
could be shown in a separate node of the output and maybe have one for 
other configurable contents of echo (info/debug perhaps) ?
