+1 to coloring instance identifiers according to scope

I currently use 'scoped naming' (prefixes for arguments,locals,instance
vars) which is supportd by idea, 
but having this 'visbility' extended to whatever code I browse (which
does not have to conform to my own convention!)
would be fantastic.
