For me, the time I realize that I need multiple files set to read-write is
when I do a rename or find usages that brings up the list of affected files.
Currently they show up as RED (read-only) and I can manually toggle each
one.  Could you add a single button on those tabs that does a "set all
(highlighted files) to read-write" ?  That would be very nice.
