I think that code analysis should be included in IDEA, not as a separate add-on.
First of all, finding "code smells" is an integral part of the refactoring process . IDEA's focus is not just on being a good text editor, but its strengths as a refactoring tool. Why not let IDEA help the programmer find potential opportunities to refactor?
