I used to do that, too, until I found that CTRL+MouseClick option. If I
just hold the CTRL key down and float the mouse over the lines I'm curious
about, the tooltip that appears shows the signature and what it throws.
However, for really long signatures, the tooltip goes off the screen. :(

For larger blocks of code, I can see the utility of your suggestion: +1

Subject: [Eap-features] Idea needs a quick way to show possible
exceptions

Hi all,

I find myself using the surround with try/catch feature quite often in order
to see what exceptions might be thrown from a block of code. While this
feature is awesome, quite a few times I actually don't want a try catch used
at this point, so I end up undoing the change.

It would be nice to be able to select a set of lines (or just use the
current line) and just have a popup window show the possible exceptions.
Maybe an option similar to Show Parameters that shows the exceptions as a
comma separated list in a tool tip type window?

Thanks,

-- Rick
