+1 If this is done, though, it would be extremely useful to make each type of javadoc comment block configurable in style like is possible now with classes and interfaces (text area with variables, etc). One thing I've heated in just many other IDEs over the years is that (a) they sometimes try to generate comments for you (per another post in this thread) and (b) they don't provide much in the way of formatting options for the generated comment blocks (VAJ was awful about each of these for a while).
