Hi,
I noticed some posts recently about generating JavaDoc comments automatically, which would be a great feature. It brought to mind another feature that Netbeans/Forte has - JavaDoc verification. In Forte, there is an "AutoComment" tool that brings up a panel displaying the formatted JavaDoc for every field and method in the current class. You can optionally choose to only view those fields and methods with missing, incomplete, or improper JavaDoc, which is a great feature for fixing your JavaDoc before you're done editing. Examples of improper JavaDoc include '@param' tags for non-existent parameters, incorrect usage of '@author' tags in methods, etc. Of course, you can also choose to have it generate a JavaDoc stub.
Is such a feature possible? My company seems to have a hard time putting out good JavaDoc, and this would help us immensely.
Thanks,
Regards,
